St. Marys, PA
My hometown and where I grew up until I was 21. It’s a small rural town in Northwestern PA in which carbon manufacturing was the driving force in its growth over the years. Over several recent trips back from 2019-2021 I went out on a photo project to document the town. I utilized stark black and white photography to try and show a town that has survived through the loss of many manufacturing jobs, but has still persevered and adapted over its 178 year history.
